French toast

zadnjič sem se spomnila, da je mami včasih delala French toast ali po domače "pohane šnite". Vse kar je naredila, je vzela star kruh, narezala na šnite, namočila v mleko in stepeno jajce, ter ucvrla v masu.
Zadnjič sem poskusila isto naredit sama, pa se mi je stvar zakomplicirala. Vzela sem toast (ne pečen) in ko sem ga ga namočila v jajcu, je vse popilnal in ni bilo sledu o "skorici" okoli kruha.
A mogoče zna to kdo naredit, saj se mi zdi simpatičen obrok za zajtrk ali večerjo (namesto šmorna).

Pri tebi je po moje problem, da preveč mleka dodaš. Ga je treba res ful malo dodat, ker drugače se preveč vpije v kruh in je potem ta tako pocast.

S skorico sem mislila, da je nekaj takega, kot pri dunajcu (le brez drobtin) - lepo zapečena skorica okoli kruha.

Če vztrajaš pri toastu, svetujem čisto brez mleka in res samo par sekund pomoči toast v jajčni mešanici.

Ker sem jih delala s toastom (nikoli doma nimava starega kruha, saj kupujeva žemlje), sem ga malo popekla v toasterju (da je ravno malo rumen). Vmešala jajca in žlico mleka ter seveda sol in toast namočila v masi in popekla na olju.
Prej sem še olupila jabolka (sladka), odstranila peške in jih narezala na krhlje. V posodi sem jih na maslu popekla (da so postala čisto mehka - "kuhana") in dodala par žlic rjavega sladkorja.
Postregla sem šnite, gor dodala "čežano" in čez maple sirup.
Bilo je ODLIČNO!!!!
