To je tako, ko imaš vse v življenju, potem pa umreš na višku svoje kariere z iglo v roki. Sem prav razočarana nad njim, res mi je bil super kot igralec. Totalen talent.

Katz je svojega dolgoletnega prijatelja našel na tleh kopalnice, z iglo v roki, v stanovanju, sicer polnem fotografij Hoffmanovih treh otrok, pa je policija našla kar 49 vrečk s heroinom, 20 injekcijskih igel ter ožgano žlico.
