27-letni Tom Boddingham iz Londona živi na velikih stopalih, ki mu kdaj pa kdaj povzročijo nemalo skrbi. Pred nedavnim si je v Hong Kongu dal po meri izdelati copate. S pomočjo spletnega obrazca je naročil izdelavo levega v velikosti 48,5 in desnega v velikosti 50.

Čez nekaj dni ga je dostavljavec pošiljk presenetil s copatom, ki je daleč presegal mero celo največjih obuval. Ne le, da je lahko Londončan v megalomanski copat stopil z obema stopaloma hkrati, pač pa je v obutev, ki meri nekaj več kot dva metra, zlezel z vsem svojim telesom.

Šokiran nad prejeto pošiljko je stopil v stik s podjetjem, ki je copat izdelalo in ugotovili so, da je pri prevzemu naročila prišlo do drastične napake. Namesto velikosti 50 so izdelali kar velikost 5000, misleč da gre za promocijski copat, ki ne bo služil zasebni rabi.

V podjetju Monster Slippers so se Boddinghamu opravičili in mu kmalu dostavili copate v želeni in naročeni velikosti.
