Ta kruh sem šele včeraj odkrila in mi je svetoven.

Squaw bread slices
Couple tablespoons of crumbled chevre
1-2 fresh green figs, thinly sliced
Organic Microgreens
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil

1 (3-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/4 teaspoon dried dill weed
8 slices caraway rye bread
20 thin slices cucumber
8 (3/4 ounce) slices Land O Lakes ® Deli American Cheese
4 thin slices tomato
4 lettuce leaves
Combine cream cheese and dill weed in small bowl; mix well. Spread 1 side of each bread slice with cream cheese mixture.
To assemble sandwiches, layer 1 lettuce leaf, 1 slice tomato, 2 slices cheese, 1/4 cucumber onto 4 bread slices. Cover with remaining bread slices, cream cheese-side down.
Alotta Ciabatta Squares

1/2 cup green or black olive tapenade
3 tablespoons Italian dressing
1 (16-ounce) loaf ciabatta bread, sliced horizontally
8 leaf lettuce leaves
8 ounces thinly sliced hard salami
8 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes® Deli Provolone or American Cheese
8 tomato slices
Combine tapenade and Italian salad dressing in small bowl. Spread cut-sides of bread with olive mixture. Layer bottom half of bread with 4 lettuce leaves, salami, cheese, tomatoes and remaining 4 lettuce leaves. Cover with top half of bread. Secure with toothpicks.
Crab & Pea Pod Pita

8 ounces imitation crabmeat, drained, flaked
2 cups fresh pea pods or snow peas, cut into 1-inch pieces
1/2 cup water chestnuts, chopped
2 tablespoons chopped red bell pepper
2 tablespoons sliced green onions
1/4 cup fat free mayonnaise
1 tablespoon Dijon-style mustard
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon curry powder
Combine all crab mixture ingredients in large bowl.
Combine all dressing ingredients in small bowl; toss with crab mixture.
Line pita pockets with lettuce leaf. Place 1 piece cheese in each pita pocket. Fill with 1/2 cup salad mixture.

Dobra fora z jabolkom! PB je arašidovo maslo?
Jaz imam tudi najraje že omenjeno podlogovato zrnato štručko, včasih samo s sirom (najraje Emental ali kaj podobnega okusa) in kislimi kumarami (obvezno male, hrustljave! : )), včasih samo z zelenjavo, kalčki. Včasih si kruh popečem, nadvse slastno mi delujejo tiste črte, ki jih na kruhu pusti grill. : )
Na splošno velja manj je več, ne maram prenapolnjenih in mokrih sendvičev (brr!), kot namaz mi v sendviču včasih ustreza samo malo gorčice (ponavadi v kombinaciji s sirom in kislimi kumarami).

Meni osebno naaajljubši sendvič je pa zaenkrat ajdova štručka z orehi, notri na eno stran namažem avokado (zrel avokado samo zmečkam z vilico), na drugo stran dam gorčico, vmes pa eno rezino sira in v toaster. BO-ŽAN-SKO!

Kaj naredite z avokadom, če ne porabite vsega naenkrat? Vsega ne morem pojesti, P. ga ne mara, avokadovega namaza se mi tudi ne da vedno delati, torej, odrežem rezino za sendvič, ostalo pa ... ? : )

Danes sem si naredila sendvic z nekim namazom iz soncnicnih semen, paradiznikom, svezo baziliko, svezimi sampinjoni in tempehom, se mi ful dopade. Nasploh se mi je tempeh zelo prikupil (kljub odbujajocemu vonju

Roasted Tomato Sandwich with Goat Cheese & Balsamic Syrup
As for this recipe…well, I won’t give it all away. Let’s just say there are roasted tomatoes, goat cheese, a sweet and savory balsamic syrup and browned Parmesan cheese. All of those mean one thing: You must make this…today!
Grilled Italian Panini with Zucchini, Summer Squash & Basil
Preheat grill or grill pan to medium heat.
Cut the zucchini and yellow squash in half crosswise, then cut each into 1/4-inch lengthwise slices.
In a large bowl, toss the zucchini, yellow squash and red bell pepper with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper.
Place the vegetables on the grill and cook until tender, about 2 minutes for side for the zucchini and squash, and 3 minutes per side for the red bell pepper.
Preheat a panini press.
Spread 1 tablespoon of the tomato sauce on each cut side of the ciabatta rolls.
Divide the zucchini, yellow squash and red bell pepper pieces evenly between the 4 rolls. Top with fresh mozzarella and basil, and close the sandwiches.
Place the sandwiches on the panini press (this may need to be done in two batches). Alternatively, you can lay a heavy pan or foil-covered brick on the sandwiches, on the grill.
Grill until the bread is toasted and the cheese is melted. Cut the sandwiches in half and serve.

Nasvet za izdelavo sendviča: vzameš kumaro (zdaj se dobijo mlade v formatu za vlaganje) in osvežiš sendvič s tankimi rezinami, ki jih narediš z lupilcem krompirja. Pašejo na osnovni namaz iz masla, sira (tudi topljenega, npr. Zdenka). Iz mladih kumar ni treba ekstrahirati pešk. Sendvič je tako bolj osvežujoč in sočen, ne da bi se voda cedila, ker so rezine nadvse tanke.

U, fajn temo si obudil! Potrjujem, da fino paše kumara na rezino sira, kakšna feta je tudi fina kombinacija. Ni sicer idealno z vidika presnove/prebave - kumare + mlečni izdelki ne grejo najbolje skup, okus pa gre.
V Ljubljani je pred leeeeeti obstajal bistro/studdentski plac, kjer so imeli v ponudbi poddoben sendvič:
maslen rogljiček aka croissant, prerezan na pol, obložen z rezinami gaude ali podobnega sira (tilsiter?), feta sira, na kolobarje narezane (solatne?) kumare + hrustljavi listi zelene solate. Slika je xy sneta zz googla, simbolični prikaz
Včeraj sem si naredila tudi fino večerjo v duhu sendvičev:
rustikalna bageta, prerezana na pol
+
pasirana skuta
+
sojin namaz s fižolom iz hoferja (steklena embalža)
+
domača rukula z vrta
+
rezine pradižnika, osoljene
Odkriti srečo. Jo loviti in ujeti. Se prepustiti. Gledati z odprtimi očmi, vonjati, poslušati, se čuditi. Biti radoveden, ceniti lepoto in preproste, majhne in srčne stvari, srčne ljudi, trenutke. Čričke. Predvsem ne pozabi na čričke. Brez njih ni poletja.

Se strinjam, fajn odprta tema.
Jaz sem za zajtrk v nedeljo naredila:
- popečen PZ toast
- namazala z gorčico iz Ikee(taka sladkasta) in dodala cottage cheese
- na vrh pa svežo papriko, scamorza sir in rukolo
Ljudje imajo radi, da jim kaj poveš, v pravih količinah, v skromnem, zaupnem tonu, in mislijo, da te poznajo, ampak te ne poznajo, poznajo podatke o tebi, dobijo samo dejstva, ne občutkov, ne, kaj si misliš o čemer koli, ne, kako si zaradi stvari, ki so se ti zgodile ali si se odločil zanje, tak, kot si. Daj, no, celo gimnazijo in faks sem hodila tam okrog pa ga niti enkrat nisem jedla.
Meni je ena boljših kombinacij za sendvič dimljen losos, sirni namaz in sveža kumara. Pa arašidovo maslo in tuna mi gresta ful dobro skupaj, mož se zgraža.
