Uredil jo je seveda njegov sin Christopher. Videl sem jo nekaj dni nazaj v knjigarni Konzorcij v LJ in jo prelistal. Super barvne ilustracije, res odlične. Knjiga je tudi precej kvalitetna, trde platnice.
Toliken je napisal osnovno verzijo te sage že leta 1918 po koncu 1. svetovne vojne. Deli zgodbe so se že pojavljali v drugih knjigah kot Silmarilion, Unfinished Tales, ..., sedaj je pa celotna zgodba prvič izšla v knjižni obliki v koherentnem narativu.

Gledano s filmske perspektive - ne more se niti primerjat s Star Wars, gledano iz knjizne (pac takega in podobnega zanra) - Harry Potter uber alles.
